Dea AF_List,
small spam on the some concerts up coming in Wellington (also Lower Hutt).
First one is tomorrow at St Andrew's on the Terrace, 12.15pm (others on Oct
10th/13th, see below). You will hear new music by young New Zealand
composers inspired by very old music and ways of making old music, or merely
the possibility of hearing violin, voice, recorders and guitar in the same
room as each other. I constructed a piece which imagines what it would be
like to hear a famous old piece of music at its first performance, also
exploring the gradual decay and corruption of any orginal materials over a
long (to veyr long) period of time.

Actual old music will be played in the form of songs by16th-century English
composer John Dowland.
[You might also hear La Monte Young's Composition No.6 at some point.]

Players:
Dylan Lardelli (Guitar)
Philip Brownlee (Recorders)
Johnny Chang (Violin/Viola)
