Chur Simon,
really appreciate that link, awesome food for thought.

I did more with directional radio antennae years ago, but totally interested
in focusing sub bass... lol.. I did get a vid posted to my facebook a
while back, that reminds me of the traditional lycopodeum powder method for
showing sound resonance that I was into at high school. This vid is very
cool. It works faster on facebook than the original link I tracked back and
posted here.
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/10800/

check it out!! Thinking about sending keyboards into that as a shiny surface
and projecting the response by scanning laser.

And as I'm a digital cartographer, thematic maps of noise are intensely
interesting, combined with census data I could deliver population numbers
affected, broken down by sex, age, income, ethnicity etc.. would be good to
see some work here, deliver a 'fatigue index' by address..

Got sent this link .

http://crab.wordpress.com/category/sounds/

Couple of things that have been talked about before on the list ..

However the blog includes a nice concise list of the effects of
infrasound,
much of which I have read before but not this particular study.

Also interesting is the notes on Sonic Weaponry .. and the use of out of
phase speakers to focus audio beams .. this technique is also commonly
used in concert bass stacks to focus bass frequencies into the crowd
and away from the stage ..

The sound mapping of London is also pretty cool .. if not disturbing
when
you cross relate it with the effects of infrasound.

We really are living in sonic environments that amnoung many things
make us anxious and prone to a wide variety of subtle discomforts.

..

Is anyone on the list working specifically with phase ?

Or low frequency sounds ?
