[Af_List] ABC remix competition

It is 400 years since the premiere of the world's first acknowledged  
opera, Monteverdi's L'Orfeo. To celebrate, the ABC is inviting you to  
compose your own response to both the Orpheus myth and the notion of  
'opera', in the form of original 4-minute works for radio. If  
successful, your work will be heard on ABC Radio National and ABC  
Classic FM, and available for download from the ABC website.

400 years after Monteverdi’s successful creation sparked the new  
opera genre, this is your chance to re-visit this idea within the  
musically and sonically diverse context of contemporary radio and  
audio technology AND a shockingly succinct 4 minutes! The Orpheus  
remix awards are open now and closing on 31st January, 2008
