[Af_List] Henri Chopin RIP

I've just been informed by friends in the UK that the sound poet, Henri Chopin died on Thursday (3rd January). I was lucky to have spent some time with him and caught what was to be his last ever performance when I was back in the UK last September.

Although old, visibly very frail and retreating into his own personal world, he was still a powerful presence and able to execute a dynamic performance that ended up captivating an audience whose initial nervous laughter suggested contained a fair few people who'd not encountered a vocal performance like this before. I've reviewed this in the unaugural issue of Sustain, which should be launched later this month (more details on this will be posted to the list when it's ready for viewing).
