Well they did review the first CD I ever sent them, with no mention of 
advertising, or any such...

However, I'm not surprised to find out about the advertising/review 
link, for a magazine like Wire which must find it hard to stay afloat.

Makes me more interested and inclined to send to web publications, zines 
and other low budget concerns that don't have such financial considerations.
