Hi,
So Alastair Galbraith and I are kicking off the Soundcheck Performance
Series at the Adam Gallery on Victoria University in Wellington this
Saturday night. It starts 7.30pm and is $5.
Alastair will be doing a long string piece (it sounds bloody amazing in the
space- these huge tall walls act as superb resonators).
I will be attempting to saturate the gallery with frequencies especially
isolated for me by acoustic engineer Bill Wood. (We spent an interesting
evening up there with a range of esoteric technical gadgets doing reads on
reverb times etc...). Basically my performance will involve me playing the 3
main rooms simultaneously in the hope of inducing an ecstatic rapture...

ALSO: The new PseudoArcana CD is out, but its not only a CD its also a 72
page book of images of the sun! This is "Vision Scorched" the debut for
Glory Fckn Sun, my psyche-noise-improv trio with Ben Spiers on guitar and
violin, and Simon O'rorke on percussion. At times its pretty, but mostly its
pretty (fckn) intense. Its $20 if anyones interested.
